Strength through united action, guided by intelligence, is the hall mark of trade union organizations. Believing such unity is essential for the mutual protection and advancement of the interests and general welfare of the law enforcement officers and the civilians of the Clarksville Police Department. We have formed this Union, the objects of which shall be:

• To organize all law enforcement officers and civilian employees in the Clarksville Police Department who qualify for membership in this Union under the guidelines set forth in this Union's Constitution and By-laws;

• To secure just compensation for their services and equitable settlement of their greivances;

• To promote the establishment of just and reasonable working conditions;

• To place the members of this Union on a higher plane of skill and efficiency;

• To promote harmonious relations between the members of this Union and their employers;

• To encourage the formation of sick and death benefit funds;

• To encourage the establishment of schools of instruction for imparting knowledge of modern and improved methods of law enforcement, crime prevention, record keeping and labor relations; and

• To cultivate friendship and fellowship among it's members.
